Sometimes it’s less about creating marvellous things with stamps, and more about celebrating the beautiful designs of our Designer Series Papers. I so so love the Afternoon Picnic paper, that I wanted to showcase that rather than anything else.
For anyone who has seen it up close, and personal, it has a sort of ‘aged’ and ‘vintage’ look and feel to the edges of the sheets. This one however only had a little aged effect, so with some Crumb Cake ink, I sponged and distressed the edges of the paper, mounted it up on Stampin’ Dimensionals, stamped a sentiment from the Blooming With Kindness set, which I then punched out using the Extra Large Oval Punch, distressed the edges of that, popped it also up on dimensionals, and added a little Crochet Trim for added detail, finally popping it all onto some Very Vanilla Cardstock I’d cut down, scored and folded to make a C6 card.
I think the card is gentle, elegant, and shows off the beautiful DSP perfectly.
