Stampin’ Up! UK Sweetly Framed Hopeful Thoughts

POOTLES Stampin Up UK Sweetly Framed Hopeful Thoughts 2

I am clearly a magpie for Stampin’ Up! rubber stamps. I think I have all that I want from the catalogue, but then somehow, every order that I place, at least one slips into my basket. Even when I’m doing a ‘restock’ order of cardstock or paper. Somehow, I manage to slip at least one in there.

But a week or two back, I received a restock order and out fell 7 stamp sets! They fell out, and I fell over in shock! I had it in my head, in the hours before the delivery was due, that I’d ordered 2. It’s that kind of secret anticipation of the order. Only half remembering what I’d chosen, and daring myself to check my order report or not. That sweet temptation.

I’m pretty good, I usually remember everything, but I genuinely hadn’t anticipated 7 arriving. Although obviously, I then immediately remembered really really really needing that particular stamp, and that the one over there would work really really really well on a project, and that I was certain I could get loads of use out of another.

That moment of it all coming flooding back…

But actually, although I posted a picture on my facebook page, and I’m pleased to see I’m not alone, I did pile straight in and create a card within about 10 minutes of prepping all the stamps.

And this is what I whipped up!

It was a seconds-to-make card. Stunning in the simplicity, effortless because Stampin’ Up! makes such beautiful images, and instant redemption for having bought 7 stamp sets. Particularly because I used 2 different sets on this card….

So, my card showcases the beautiful windswept flowers from Hopeful Thoughts and the beautifully scripted font of the Sweetly Framed set.

Now, Sweetly Framed is only available as a Hostess Stamp Set. Basically, if you spend over £150 you get a minimum of £25 to spend on anything you like, or if you host a party, whether virtual or actual, and the total orders go over £150, you get the same benefits.

This week, I am GIVING one of these away to one person who’ll be chosen at random from all my customers using the hostess code below. A really good opportunity to get hold of one of these stunning sets, and I adore it!

Anyway, back to the card. I stamped in Garden Green, punched the sentiment using the Small Oval Punch and gently daubered around those edges, and the edge of the Whisper White layer. I decided to add some Linen Thread, which is my most used thread. I use it on a huge variety of projects and couldn’t be without it. I get a little twitchy if I have less than one full packet in ‘spare’ at any time…

Finally, I dotted the tiny Basics Pearls on the flowers, and then scattered them, as though blowing off in the wind. Oh and a tiny trio in the bottom right hand corner

Do you like it? Not bad for a few minutes make!
