Stampin Up UK My Sons, I Love YOU More 3

Merry Christmas!

There isn’t going to be a blog post tomorrow as by this time, I’ll probably be knee deep in wrapping paper, brioche and hopefully a glass of orange juice, but I wanted to share a little something I made for my 4 wonderful sons.

We often say “love you”, “love you more” to one another, so when I received the Love You More stamp set recently, I knew it was perfect.

Now, I don’t usually liken my boys to one another. I never dress them alike, and certainly allow them their identities (although hand me downs means that looking at old photographs of them sometimes cause a stumbling block on the old memory…), but I loved the simplicity and ‘boyish’ nature of the first card I made (the Garden Green one), so I decided that it was perfect for all of them.

And on Christmas Eve, I will make a confession. We haven’t exactly ‘forced’ the children into liking one colour over another, but we have perhaps, erm, ‘encouraged’ them into one or another.

Things like cups at the table, sponges by the bath, toothbrushes etc. All in their own colours.

Trust me, if you had 4 small sons who didn’t understand the philosophy of ‘don’t put it down, put it away’ you’d be working to a colour code too!

So, my 4 wonderful sons all have a card, in their colours.

Stamped with that fabulous Love You More stamp set, which I punched using the Extra Large Oval Punch, overlaid onto matching Designer Series Paper, and embellished with Candy Dots, a discreet punched Small Heart and in Illuminate Ink, their initial in the bottom corner.

Jack loves Green, Luke loves Yellow, Jacob loves Blue, and Oliver? Well, he’s being encouraged towards red….

My colour palette has been Garden Green, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point and Real Red.

Merry Christmas everyone, I’ll see you on Boxing Day!
