Stampin’ Up! UK Brights Week Manly Tangerine Tango Valentine Card
If I ask my husband what is his favourite colour, he will always says “Black”. Well, we usually end up having a debate as to whether black is a colour or a tone, and it ends up with me pushing him to choose another actual ‘colour’, and he’ll go with something like ‘grunge’ or ‘mud’ and be deliberately awkward.
However, once, he did say that he quite liked Orange.
Phew! At least I now have a colour to work with to make him a card that lends itself to his sort of ‘taste’ in colours.
And well, it was a good excuse to use Tangerine Tango Designer Series Paper and it’s matching counterparts of Embossing Powder and Candy Dots, all while in keeping with Brights Week (I’m such a clever girl!)
So this is a super simple card, I’ve used Chalk Talk framelits to cut out the DSP tag in the background and the Basic Black shape where I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from the Follow My Heart stamp set.
After that, I just layered with Tangerine Tango and Basic Black cardstock. But did you notice the tiny Small Heart Punch out in Basic Black at the bottom right? Of course, that needed a Candy Dot….
I hope this gives you a starting off point to make the man in your life a card that’s not too twee and yet says that you love him!
I hope you enjoyed this project, please do use the hostess code to support Pootles! (hostess code shown in the top right of my blog for the current one!)
