Pootles’ Springwatch Wreath Inspired Card

Pootles' Springwatch Wreath Inspired Card Elegant and Bitty Butterflies

Way back at the end of January, during my SpringWatch series, I decorated a wicker wreath with tiny fairy lights and then smothered it in butterflies and linen thread (HERE!).

SpringWatch 2015 Butterfly Illuminated Wreath Tutorial

It hangs in my hallway, right by my front door, and it makes me smile whenever I go to open the door to anyone. Whether it’s the UPS delivery chap or a friend coming over for a chat.

And because it makes me smile so much, I wanted to create a card version of it!

So I took exactly the same elements as before, but put them onto a Crumb Cake cardstock triple layer (card blank, mat and layer!) and swirled Linen Thread everywhere.

As before, my colours are Wisteria Wonder, Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron and Bermuda Bay. All punched with Elegant and Bitty Butterflies.

I hope you like it, and that it makes you smile too!

Products Used

Cardstock – Pink Pirouette, Wisteria Wonder, Bermuda Bay, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron

Other – Basics Pearls, Linen Thread, Mini Glue Dots

Punches – Bitty Butterfly, Elegant Butterfly
