Single Layer Summer Silhouettes

Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator Pootles – Single Layer Summer Silhouettes

Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator Pootles - Single Layer Summer Silhouettes close up

I rarely do single layer stamping like this, but I wanted to pull out my blue inks and have a play.

Using some of my older stamps, ones I have owned for a year or so now but don’t use, has been a bit of a mission since the retiring list came out!

It’s so easy to get caught up in ‘new new new’ when a seasonal catalogue comes out that much beloved stuff tends to get pushed to one side.

But I’m really happy that I pulled out the Summer Silhouettes set to work with as I love how this came out.

I laid down the leaves first with Marina Mist. I wanted them to be the horizontal ‘line’ that everything else worked around.

The 3 larger flowers are stamped with Pacific Point, then I scattered a load of tiny ones in Night of Navy. I decided to add that same flower to the centre of the PP ones, and with a little scatter of Basics Pearls in their centres, and a trio in the bottom corner, I like this card.

I’ve left it blank as it is one of those ‘any occasion kind of cards’ and I don’t know yet who I’m giving it to!

Blue is my altime favourite colour. But I had never thought of using it in this ‘monochromatic’ way with the flower stamps of summer silhouettes.

  2. I love blue, but always have a hard time making cards with it.
    Thanks, Sam!
