Pootles’ Vaseline Gift Box Tutorial using Stampin’ Up! Colours Cherry Cobbler

Pootles' Vaseline Gift Box Tutorial using Stampin' Up! Colours

Ah we do love things in miniature don’t we. I’m surely not alone in that am I?

I am a big fan of Vaseline lip balms, although I do prefer the tinted ones over the plain colour (and taste!), so I did a little spot of shopping on Amazon and found the cute ones I’m showcasing here.

And of course, with the fabulous colours that are on the tins, I had to match the cardstock didn’t I!

The box is small, so you don’t have to put Vaseline tins in, plenty of other goodies would fit too!

I hope you like the project on the video today, it’s a deliberate showcase of our colours rather than stamping!

  1. Good morning and have a wonderful week ! These boxes are so cute. Why dont we have these tins here ? They’re a great gift ! Thanks for sharing x

  2. Hi Sam I really loved the boxes you designed with the envelope punch board – how about some new one”s? Kind Regards Jo

  3. Hi Sam,
I really like seeing the non-DSP finishes, both the tailored/minimalist look and where you “make your own” by stamping or using other techniques on plain paper or cardstock. Thanks for sharing your crafting ideas with us! 🙂

Love this box! I haven’t seen Vasoline in these tins only in little tubes or in a chapstick style. I see that Amazon has the limited edition Paint the Town but it is $11.99 (US) and that is outrageous! Someone must be watching your videos and taking advantage :-)) I look forward to all of your videos Sam please keep them coming!

  5. Hi Sam, I haven’t yet found Vaseline in tins over here in Canada. I think I may need to stock up next time I am over in the UK, my stocks are definitely running a bit low. Love your project.

  6. Love the tiny little box, so sweet!!

  7. Fabulous little box Sam, so quick to make and I love the fact you can get 3 out of one sheet of card stock. I’ve never seen those Vaseline tins around here but I will look them up, they are cute.
Thank you for another great video.

  8. Very posh Vaseline and even posher boxes !

  9. Janette says:

They are so cute. Thanks for sharing xx

  10. Karen S says:

Oh you clever lady – you have made me so happy!!! I love Vaseline Lip Therapy – though I am very boring and only use the Original (can’t stand flavoured Lips!) – which is going to make me a bit tied colour-wise, so it’s a good job SU has many shades of blue to play with. I have been using these lovely little tubs of moistness for years, and have even been know to give tins away to complete strangers (it is amazing how the subject of dry lips comes up in conversation!?!) so now when I pop a spare tin in my bag, I think I will put it in one of your cute boxes, so much nicer! Thanks Sam.

  11. Great boxes Sam. I love the design and the colors. I have never seen Vaseline lip balm packaged in tins. I’m sure I can find a hand cream that would work as well.

  12. Diana W. says:

Darling box! I’m thinking that small chocolates wrapped ’round with DSP would be a fun treat to give to someone special. Love the Vaseline tins! Hope to find some here in the US.

  13. I love the boxes! Your videos are my first highlight of the day every morning as I am an email subscriber. I love every kind of packaging and these boxes are too cute. Luckily, I get the blue, green an pink Vaseline at Morrisons and the bubbly one at Boots. Haven’t seen the red one yet, but the ordinary pink one is my favourite. Thanks for your wonderful videos- you are a star!
    Greetings from Scotland

  14. Love this box, found the tins on line, 20.99, so wrong. Found other tins that would work. Thank you for all your creative ideas. Thank you a g Ian.
