Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand Painted Petals!

Stampin’ Up! Demo Pootles – Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand Painted Petals!

Stampin' Up! Demo Pootles - Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand Painted Petals! Close Up

Well in just a few days, we are going to be saying Goodbye to the beautiful Painted Petals stamp set. I’m really sad to see it go as it is one that I’ve used so much and have found it has become more and more versatile the more I have used it.

But actually, I made this card weeks ago. Quite possibly as much as a month ago, and at the time, I didn’t know we were going to be getting a banner punch in the new catalogue, and definitely not one that you can punch out 3 different sizes with.

Am I ahead of the times? no, if anything, I’m behind the times as these sort of flag type banners have been very popular, and that’s probably why Stampin’ Up! have brought out a new product for that purpose!

But today’s card is a simple statement of our 2 red colours – Real Red and Cherry Cobbler with the accenting of Sahara Sand.

I like the statement it makes and it’s definitely one that you can switch the sentiment to suit any occasion.

I hope you like it!

  1. Great card – i can’t wait for the banner punch as i am useless at free cutting or lining up punches!

  2. Sam, I love Cherry Cobbler ink, I think it’s one of the most beautiful shades of red SU has, I hope it’s not going away any time soon. Your card is lovely, this pretty flowers look fabulous in this color combo.
Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful weekend. 🙂

  3. Linda W says:

I, too love the cherry cobbler. Why does it have to go? I hope it doesn’t have to. The flowers it makes are so beautiful…. thank you.

  4. Lisa Stokes says:

I am also so sad to see it go. I’ve used it so often and many times when I think to do a card, that is the first stamp set I grab. maybe they will bring it back again.

  5. Diana W. says:

This stamp set is one of my favorites – I use it more than any others. So sorry that SU! didn’t continue it in the new catalog. Love your color combo on this card. Thanks for sharing.

  6. Julie R says:

I am new to stampin up and after doing a bit of reasearch I purchased this stamp set as my first ever stampin up product. I am so glad I did after finding out it is is going to be discontinued. I am hooked already and this set is a great one for a beginnner I think. It contains such a good variety of stamps, different size flowers and stems but also the dots too. I have already added to my stampin up collection but this set will always be special to me being my first stampin up product. Beautiful card too Sam x
