Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Garden in Bloom Card with Crystal Effects
Okay, it’s possible that I may have got a little addicted to Crystal Effects. Is that a bad thing? I think if it makes pretty things prettier, then it’s a resounding no!!
I was doing a little one layer stamping recently and was using a variety of blues (lost lagoon and soft sky plus night of island indigo and pool party) and came up with this card.
I love the Garden in Bloom set and how well it matches the English Garden paper, but I wanted it to be about the flowers and patterns predominantly. Grabbing my new favourite Crystal Effects, I added tiny blobs to the centre of all the flowers.
I rather like the effect, so I decided to mat it onto some Crumb Cake cardstock as a backdrop that doesn’t make one clue colour dominate over another.
Overall I’m very happy with it, and fancy trying a different colourway!
