Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Pootles - Calla Lily Card using Remarkable You Stamp Set Blender Pen Detail

I fell in love with the Remarkable You stamp set as soon as I saw it in the catalogue. I think mostly because my wedding bouquet was made up of beautiful white Calla Lilies and I absolutely love them.  Sadly they’re hard to find here in the UK unless you preorder them, so it’s rare that I get given a bunch of flowers with them in, but I so love how they look that I knew I needed to buy this stamp set!

There are other floral images in the set, but as I’m not that good with the floral thing, I couldn’t tell you the names, but heck, that’s okay. Sometimes it’s less about accurate names and more about appearance!

I decided to use our new Thicker Whisper White cardstock to make my card blank and mounted the lovely Wild Wasabi cardstock onto it as a backdrop for both the sentiment and lily.

My outline stamping is done with Sahara Sand as I wanted a softened sketchy look, but I took out my Blender Pens with the same Wild Wasabi to pick out a little detail on the stems and then some So Saffron for the centre.

I did stamp inside the card, rare for me, but I kept it to the top of the inside so that there’s plenty of room for writing!

I love how this looks and I’m planning a set of all the images

So classic and elegant. With a different sentiment, it would make a beautiful sympathy card.
I must give the thicker white card stock a try.

Hi Sam, I made a card almost identical to this one the other day. It is such a lovely stamp and really appropriate for sympathy cards. I haven’t put a sentiment on mine yet.
