A Circle of Spring in a Wonderful Wreath

Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Pootles - A Circle of Spring in a Wonderful Wreath Side Profile

Ha, did you see what I did with the title? I got the stamp set name, Circle of Spring, in with the framelits name, Wonderful Wreath!

I do love it when I can be a little bit clever with my titles!

I wanted to do something a little different with today’s card and frustratingly, you can’t see it! Waaaahhhh!!!

I stamped the wreath in Mint Macaroon and then carefully added a little So Saffron to the centres of the flowers, then took my chalk marker and painted all their petals in a creamy white.

And that’s the bit you can’t see and I’m a bit down about it.

I have the card right in front of me, and it’s very apparent at this one, but I just couldn’t capture it at all on camera. I’ve never professed to be a pro at photography, just a happy amateur, and this was a test too far for me.

So you’re going to have to trust that the daisies are definitely obviously set apart from the rest of the wreath.

But I did enjoy making it though, it was quite therapeutic to slowly paint in the petals and centres. Oh and while I remember, those all got a tiny dab of Crystal Effects too!

So a simple card, delicately coloured, and most enjoyable it was too!

  1. So pretty!

  2. I can see it!! There is a very subtle difference from the white cardstock and the chalk marker. Cool!

  3. I love this and I think this stamp set can be versatile. You can use autumnal colors or spring colors and create a really pretty project like this.
