Pootles Advent Countdown #5 Adorable Hanging Lumiere Tutorial Illuminated

Can you believe that already we are into the 3rd week of Pootles Advent Countdown? That means that Christmas is going to be here in a flash!

I know, I know, it’s only October 5th, but I am a huge fan of this time of year and knowing that my husband will be working all over Christmas and the run up to it, I have to get ahead!

Each year I make Lumieres and this year, I decided to revisit a project from 6×6 Week and turn it into this year’s festive decoration.

What do you think?

I do explain in the video the reason for the 2 pieces of Cording Trim – I think we’ve all made decorative projects and then pondered how to make them close without it being permanent….I think I managed this one quite successfully!

Anyway, I won’t waffle on anymore, mostly because it’s Sunday evening and I’ve been ill all weekend and am a)incredibly behind now and b)really not feeling very well at all.  Normally I’m well ahead but these were only filmed on Thursday and photographed on Friday, then I got ill.

Hopefully tomorrow (today?!) I shall be feeling much better and can crack on with work.

The beautiful Winter Wonderland Vellum measures 6×6″ (15. x and I scored it at 2 and 4″ (5 and 10cm)

  6. Hi Sam, love this little ornament and so easy to make. No time right now as we have had four day celebration as our daughter was 50 on Sunday and came down from Yorkshire. Bang goes the diet and I will get back on track after next Monday. Thank you also for the little gift and card. Always appreciated. Hugs, Jessie x ps, be careful with the wooden floors. I flew back on my chair last week and hurt my btm!!!

    • Congratulations to your daughter! my diet went out the window forever ago….. And ouch to the chair and bottom! I have to remind myself to not just shove away from my desk like I used to, cos I end up on the other side of the room!!!
