Pootles Advent Countdown #7 Folded Gift Bag Tutorial Large!

Pootles Advent Countdown #7 Folded Gift Bag Tutorial Large!

Pootles Advent Countdown #7 Folded Gift Bag Tutorial Large!

I love to mix up the sizes of bags and boxes that I make, but sometimes I get into a bit of a mindset of one size and have to remind myself to do bigger!

So today’s project is definitely on the bigger side, but as you can see, there’s a sneaky little extra peek at the internal paper patter, not just on the front (where I do a handy magnet stash…) but also on the sides too!

Before I go on any further, let me drop in the link for you to some magnets… They are UK based, but Donna does ship globally and pretty fast too! This is Spider Magnets, link is HERE for 8mm x 1mm neodymium magnets that I use.

But back to my project, I hope you like it and that you make pretty bags for all your gifts this season!

Sam, wonderful project (as always) Thank you for sharing the information about the magnets again. I remembered to write it down this time! The metal-rimmed pearls are now at the top of my must-have list.

  2. I am just watching your big gift bag with magnets as fasteners.
I used these magnets on the Clutch Bag in a previous project and had trouble glueing as they are so tiny and one side would rip the other away from the card. I have found a solution by using one small magnet and one large. The large one I put inside the bag so it can’t be pulled off.
Hope you understand what I’m trying to say

  3. Sweet bag, and now loving the poinsettia punch!

  4. Love this project!! I will be making it for sure! Thank you so much for your great work and style!

  5. I just love ALL of your projects and cards. This one is going to be one of my favorites because not only is it beautiful but it is larger so I can use it for bigger goodies! Thanks for all the time and effort you put into your projects and thank you so very much for sharing!

Lovely as usual. A great way to start my day by watching your video. You are the greatest

  7. I love this bag. I need a bag for my Mom’s birthday gift and this one will be perfect! I so enjoy your videos!

  8. Love this bag! I will be making several. Love the Season of Cheer Paper for the beautiful Christmas colors. I really love your videos but have one suggestion to make it easier for us to capture what you have done. If you could pause for a second with the project in the screen once all the cutting and snipping is down so a screen capture can be taken it would make life easier. It goes by so fast and often isn’t easy to tell what to do. I keep replaying the section where it is done try to get the picture in. I manage but if there are a lot of cuts it is sometimes hard. Thanks for the wonderful projects you give to us!

Gorgeous as usual. Your projects and videos never disappoint us.
I check your blog every night as part of my wind down for bed.
Thank you for your generosity and sharing so openly with everyone, particularly your international followers.

I recently visited the UK on holidays and put in an order with you just so I would get an original card from ‘Pootles’ I shall treasure it and the little gift.

    Cheers xxx

  10. Thank you very much for promoting our magnets. I was wondering why we had an enormous spike in sales of this particular magnet until I found this post 😀 Your craft items are truly wonderful and I’m not sure how skilful I am but I’m having a go at making these for Christmas….we’ll see 🙂

    Take care
