A Whole Lot of Lovely and a flash of Bermuda Bay….

Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Pootles - A Whole Lot of Lovely and a flash of Bermuda Bay.... close up on flowers

Oooo how fab is this card? It’s a total black and grey fest, but then that tiny pop of the gorgeous Bermuda Bay blue.

It’s super simple to make a layered card like this. I chose Basic Black, then Basic Grey and finally Smoky Slate for my layers.

The base is a sheet of cardstock cut in half then scored in half. The layers over the top are 1/2 a centimeter (1/4″) shorter and narrower than the previous one, and it creates the gentle colour change you can see.

The top 2 layers have been ‘bound’ with the Basic Black Baker’s Twine, but those are then mounted on Dimensionals to get the bit of lift that you can see.

I stamped the image from A Whole Lot of Lovely onto Smoky Slate cardstock using the new Archival Black ink, then punched it with the 2-1/2″ Circle Punch.

But where did those tiny diddy flowers come from?

The Tree Builder Punch!

That punch just keeps on giving and giving…. There’s the tree trunk which doubles as a branch, the tree top which could be a cloud or a marshmallow or a pillow or….. then theres an apple, a tiny flower, a bird and a wing which doubles as raindrops or perhaps the flame on a candle. Oh there’s just so much!

Anyway, I hope you like my card!
