A Whole Lot of Lovely – Thank you Card

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – A Whole Lot of Lovely – Thank you Card

Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Pootles - A Whole Lot of Lovely - Thank you Card Close Up

I do love a simple and stylish card. You all know that by now I think! And today’s card is exactly that.

I wanted a simple card to say ‘thank you’ for after Christmas. My boys don’t really have distant gift givers. Their Uncles and Grandparents generally give gifts face to face, so the writing of thank you letters isn’t something we do here as the gratitude is shown face to face.

However, while we don’t have thank you cards to write, sometimes a note to say ‘thanks’ isn’t always about thanks for a gift… perhaps it’s a ‘thanks for being there’ or ‘thanks for listening’ kind of card.

So that’s the basis of today’s card! Simply thank you…

I used the Thick Whisper White cardstock for the base and then used a panel of Basic Black under more Whisper White. The wrapping of Basic Black Baker’s Twine is a simple touch and I went for 5 layers! And finally, that gorgeous stamp is from A Whole Lot of Lovely. A rewards exclusive, but a total bargain for only £8 when you’ve spent over £150 and got yourself £15 of free £££s to spend!

I hope you like it!

A very nice card. I would like to thank you for all of your videos. They have inspired me to try making some boxes for my soaps. I have only been making soap since September. I gave a few people some samples and they loved the soap. Comments were that it made their skin feel so soft. All the ingredients were Olive oil, Coconut oil, sunflower oil, cocoa butter, milk, honey and ground up oatmeal as an exfoliant. All the ingredients were mixed with lye and water, blended with a stick blender till it came to trace and poured into a mold to saponify. My little mold gave me about 7 bars of soap.
