Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Pootles - Tea Bag Envelope Punch Board Pouch Tutorial

Hands up, who likes tea? Personally I’m not a fan. Or rather, if there’s nothing on offer, I’ll have a cup of PG Tips Pyramid tea, but nothing more than that. And Earl Grey? Bleurgh!!!

However I do realise that I’m a weird Brit in that tea is not my drink of choice, give me a coffee any day!

But having said that, I also realise that other people do like tea, and we are blessed these days to have a whole world of tea bags in their own packets and they make cute little gifts for people! And conversely, we do have individual packets of hot chocolate varieties, and I’m sure coffee is not far behind.

So today’s quick make is all about making a pretty pouch for your tea packet. And yes, this is the same pack that I’ve used in my videos for 2 years now… And no, I will never give it away. I’d probably kill someone off, so it’s strictly sample showcase only!

And what about the pretty new goodies? Anyone else ridiculously excited for the forthcoming Spring Catalogue?

Don’t forget, if you’re not sure that you’re on the list to get a free one in the post, let me know – I have them in German and French as well as English. Email me at

  1. That is so cute Sam. I prefer coffee over tea anytime, but I am surrounded by tea lovers, so I think one could also make a little gift pack with different teas in different papers, some sugar stirrers and a pack of lovely decorated tissues and would have a fab get well gift
And for next year, I might do this for a friend as a tea advent calendar! Everyday one pack of tea, I am sure she would love that!
    Have a lovely Christmas,

  2. Hi Sam, just a quick question. In a lot of your projects ( I love them all) you use sponges to decorate the edges. Where do you get those rounded sponges with holders from please? They are really effective. Best wishes for Christmas and thank you for all the inspiration.

  3. Jennifer H says:

Thanks for a great project Sam, and many thanks to Nessie for a great Advent Calendar idea. Happy Holidays (I’m trying to learn American!)

  4. Audrey Shaw says:

Can’t wait for my envelope punch board to arrive so I can make these, and other ideas you have created. Have a lovely Christmas x

  5. Christine Reid says:

The day before Christmas Eve and as a busy wife, with young children you are still on the case. It’s great! Well done!! Have a great time and a blessed, fruitful New Year. x

  6. Very Cute – I happen to love coffee and tea, but not a fan of hot chocolate. Here is the US, we do have instant coffee bags, seems weird to me so I have not tried them yet.

Hope you had a great holiday.

  7. Cindy Mitchell-Clark says:

perfect idea for my customer appreciation gifts! 🙂
