Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Pootles - Pretty Soft Floral Card for Kindred Spirits! First Sight Stamp

I love soft easy cards. I like them when they’re easy to make….. I adore ‘complicated’ cards, but my skills don’t lie in that particular arena. I never know where to start. Or finish….. So simple is my style and I think I do it mostly okay!

Stampin’ Up! makes it really easy. It makes me look good! And when you get an adorable set like the Number of Years stamp set, it really makes me look good!

I did ponder about whether to put a few different flower heads in – the joy of photopolymer stamping – but in the end went with the daisy-type flowers on their own. Anyone know what flowers they are? I’m so rubbish at the horticultural thing….

But I did decide to deviate a little on my sentiment Decorative Label punch out. I knew I wanted the wording from the First Sight stamp set, but I wanted to tie it in a little, so while I kept the Crumb Cake stamping on the words, I brought the Blushing Bride floral bit in again.

With a twist of Linen Thread and the triple layer of whisper white card, I think it looks pretty good!

  6. Beautiful job. Love the simple layered look. As for the horticulture thing – I think those flowers could be forget-me-nots especially if they were done in blue. Could be wrong but that is my guess. In any case the card is beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing.

  7. I really really loved the card. Simple but beautifully done.
