Expressions Elements and a Subtles Showcase

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Expressions Elements and a Subtles Showcase

Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Pootles - Expressions Elements and a Subtles Showcase single

I had a lot of fun creating last Saturday’s collection of cards and while I was making them, my mind started to wander to see what other collections I could make that were a variation on one theme. And that’s how today’s set was born.

I love our Subtles collection. I love all of the sets for different reasons, but the soft pastels of the Subtles calls to my inner girly. And I’m not girly girly at all!

As you know, I like to work in odd numbers and I’m also a fan of rainbows. Are you anything like me? I see colours as red, yellow, green, blue mostly. My boys like those colours. When I’m separating things I go into those 4 colour groups. But as I’m an odd number girl, I like to add to the 4. Some days you’ll see me add Orange in there. Other days it may be pink. But today I decided on purple as the 5th colour. It works well I think. I hope!

So with super speedy efficiency I cut down my papers to 1/2cm (1/4″) shorter and narrower than my card blank and adhered it directly onto my card base. A little twist of linen thread, an Expressions Natural Element and a Petite Petals punch out and in 15 minutes I’d made 5 cards.

You have to love speed and efficiency don’t you? Stampin’ Up! is ideal for those of us who are time strapped….!

Have a fabulous Tuesday everyone – I’m going to be on a scheduled craft day today…. SpringWatch starts next week, so I’d best get designing!

    Hi Sam

I hope you and the boys are well?

Quick question, I know I’ve asked you this before, but what size are your base cards please, I can never seem to get mine right.

Love these cards! Every time I do a “linen thread twist” or any ribbon twisties of any kind, I mess it all up and it looks horrible. Could we get a 5 minute tutorial on how yours always look so perfect? I’ve seen you do it before in videos and I will rewind and watch again, but I am not getting it. 🙂

Love these cards my kind of crafting, plan and elegant. Thank you Sam.

  7. Sam, love the pink which is my favorite followed by blue. Also love the simplicity and elegance of the card 🙂

Hi Sam…I live in Ohio and am a Stampin’ Up demonstrator and absolutely love your work and enjoy getting your emails daily. Maybe I have missed something but I use to be able to put the curser over the pic of the card and Pin to Pinterest from here…can we not do that any longer??
