Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Many Blues in a Garden in Bloom

Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Pootles - Many Blues in a Garden in Bloom close up

Layered cards are very much my ‘thing’. I love to make them and mostly use DSP for them, but today I wanted to make a sort of background of my own.

I have a card blank of our Thick Whisper White, but over the top is a full panel of whisper white that was stamped in the gorgeous Soft Sky. However, I stamped-off first before stamping. If you’ve no idea what stamping-off is, let me briefly explain. You ink your stamp, then you stamp it onto a piece of scrap paper. Without reinking, you then stamp onto your project. Basically you get a paler colour of the ink. Clever huh?

So my main base card is the stamped-off Soft Sky, but then the small rectangular panel to the left is the full colour.

Over the top is a Triple Banner punch out for the wording and this time I used Bermuda Bay for the brighter colour.

Hard to photograph such pale colours, but I think you get the idea! At least I hope you do….!

Nearly Forgot! Happy Mother’s Day to all celebrating today, and remembering the Mothers who are watching us from a special place.
