Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Pootles - Watercoloured Card - Neo Chrome Inspired! Close UP

One of the best things about being a crafter at home is that I get to spend creative time with all 4 of my sons. Jacob my 7 year old is the one who will come to me most frequently to ask to craft, but on the odd occasion, my eldest son Jack will wander into my office to see what I’m up to and will ask if he can design something.

This happened last week on one of the days when it was just him at home with me. He’d had his birthday just a couple of days before and with some birthday money he’d ordered some new upgraded parts for his scooter and was excitedly waiting for them.

He came up with the ideas for today’s card, and the cool one coming tomorrow, based on his scooter parts.

Jack's Scooter

Now for those who aren’t sure what neo chrome is, this photo, while not a replica of his scooter (he has the neo chrome only in certain areas rather than all over) you can get an idea of what he was thinking!

So basically he was twisting my colour caddy around pulling out colours, putting them in orders and asked me to create a watercoloured blended look for him.

I don’t think I did too badly!

Left to right it’s Rich Razzleberry, Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, Pacific Point and Tempting Turquoise!

He was happy to leave it as just the colours, but I persuaded him to let me add the Hello from the Hello You Framelits. I think he was secretly pleased with the result too!

So in Pootles Tradition, I’ve given him his own watermarks as the designer! And definitely come back tomorrow to see his other design that he had me carry out. Feels so peculiar being given a ‘brief’ and completing it!!
