Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Falling Flowers, inked and coloured
Oh I am in love with this card! My love of putting white ink onto coloured cardstock goes back to 2014 when I created a rainbow of flowers white white ink onto the coloured cardstock. But somehow, these favoured techniques fall by the wayside and then you see them again on pinterest and remind yourself of them again!
So my card today is a sort of spin off of that, but instead of colouring the ink by stamping it onto coloured card, I took my blender pens and a dab of ink to colour the white instead. Clever huh?! Not my idea, it’s one that I’ve seen a fair few times on the internet, but I love it!
I’m also very much missing Everything Eleanor, but Falling Flowers is definitely meeting my needs and it’s gorgeous! So many swirly designs and patterns. love it!
It’s a very easy technique. You simply stamp your image in the Whisper White Craft Ink. Allow it to dry for a few minutes or give it a little blast with your heat tool. Grab your blender pens and pick up a little bit of ink from the lid of your ink pad. Then gently colour over the white parts that you’d like to tint. Trust me, it’s as easy as I’ve written! Have a go!
So have a wonderful day, wherever you are, whatever you’re doing!
