Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Pootles - Retro Sunshine Wishes. Accidentally....

So today’s card is a happy accident. Let me talk you through what happened….

Firstly I decided I wanted to do an watercolour wash of So Saffron, Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo. So I did. I had pre cut my card blank and the mat and layer I needed, so I just watercoloured across the smallest piece.

I then die cut out in the same 3 colours the word Sunshine from the Sunshine Wishes thinlits set.

Now baring in mind that I had a 2nd piece of cardstock to go Under the watercolour wash (to lift it some more), I decided not to waste card and just used that to die cut my final word.

I like to die cut at an angle, so without thinking too much about it, I dropped the thinlit onto the piece of cardstock and ran it through the big shot.

With pieces of cardstock and die cuts all around me, I layered up the words, exactly as you can see here.

I happened to glance up and saw that I’d dropped the piece of card that I’d die cut into On Top of the watercoloured one! And it looked so cute!

So that’s how I ended up with this card! I liked how the relief of the word looks a bit retro. I think it’s because the letters have become a bit like 70s bubble writing. And that’s what led me to use the Blossom Bunch Punch to get my retro sunshine!

I hope you like it, and my funny accidental creativity!
