Well we are in a brand new month now, and that means a brand new design team!

I’m thrilled to be welcoming Anna, Joanne, Jillian and Suzy to the design team and I can’t wait to share what they’ve been making! Bless them, they have 5 projects to make because we fall into one of ‘those’ months….

They’ll introduce themselves below but I wanted to share a little about the stamp set that I chose for them. Every year, Stampin’ Up! supports the Ronald McDonald House Charity by creating a unique stamp set where £2/€2.25 gets donated for each stamp set sold. This is a remarkable charity and so far, $1.5 has been donated to them through the sale of these unique stamp sets. So if you get a chance, consider shopping for this set, it’s fun and versatile and of course, supports a great charity.

So back to the team, here they are in their own words!

Anna Krol ” Hi, my name is Anna and I’m 41 years old. I’m a Christian, a wife to my dearest husband Chris and mum to a lovely teenage daughter Anna Maria and egypian mau kitty Audrey; proving that Multiple Sclerosis don’t have to stop you from doing things you love.

Originaly from Poland, I moved to Coventry, West Midlands 10 years ago. Since I can remember I loved all sorts of creativity: from poetry writing and drawing as a child, to watercolours and decoupage when I got older. 4 years ago I’ve been diagnosed with MS and creativity became my therapy: designing and making jewellery first, through paper pompoms, mixed media until I got really hooked on papercrafts.

I discovered Stampin’ Up! through lovely Angie Juda and her Chic’n’Scratch tutorials. On a hunt for UK based demonstrator I came across fabulous Sam Hammond. I joined SU family over 2 years ago and never looked back. Although I’m a hobbyist demonstrator I really hope to turn it into business one day. If my health let me to. You can find me online as Anna’ Stampin’ Cave.

When I’m not crafting you can find me either in the garden or in my kitchen, where I experiment, mostly, as I had to give up gluten, sugar, dairy etc, way too many to list here haha. But it’s fun and I love it! And to be honest it’s as a creativity too x

Jillian Selwood Hello my name is Jillian. I sell my crafts under the name of Purple Jelly Designs. I am married to Gary and we live in Lancashire. We have a black cat called Pickle and a yellow Labrador called Harley.

I have always been a practical person. As a kid I loved tapestry, cross stitch and knitting. My Mum used to sew and would make most of my clothes. Unfortunately I didn’t inherit her sewing skills. As I grew older I did start sewing and making my own clothes but that was out of necessity rather than enjoyment. I loved knitting though and always had at least one project on the go!

I’ve always loved paper and card but have never really taken that big step into paper crafting as I felt I didn’t have the time or the money to do it properly.

A few years ago I took my Dad on a chocolate truffle making course as a Christmas present. Secretly I was hoping Dad would enjoy making chocolates but sadly he decided he was happier eating them. I, on the other hand got the chocolate making bug.

Once you start making chocolate you quickly realise that it’s not a good idea to eat them all so you start gifting them to people. The problem is what do you put them in? I trawled the internet for boxes; I could find boxes for 12 chocolates but not for six.

Whilst out with my friend Pam one day, I mentioned my frustration at not being able to find boxes that I liked. She very kindly offered to make some for me and then sent me a link to a Pootles You Tube video which showed how to thread the ribbon on the boxes. When I’d watched the video I thought I could make the boxes myself so immediately ordered an envelope punch board. I also started watching more of Sam’s fabulous videos and finding more crafty stuff I ‘needed’. And there started my passion for paper crafting. In June last year I decided to join Stampin’ Up! as a demonstrator in order to benefit from the discount, that was the best decision I’ve ever made.”

Joanne Dibb “Hi I’m Joanne from Otley West Yorkshire and I craft at “Dibby Stamps”. I’m a 33 year old stay at home mum to two children, Joseph who is 8 and Sophie who has just turned 3.

Having been born with congenital heart disease I’ve had to live life at a slower pace, which suits me fine as my two greatest passions are reading and crafting.

I discovered stamping many years ago when I was at university and wanted something to relax my mind from all the studying and after discovering the magic of gold embossing powder I was hooked and my student loan was gone!

I was a Stampin’ Up’ Demonstrator previously but had to give it up before Sophie was born. Now she’s older I have recently signed back up. I couldn’t resist the lure of new products anymore and you can’t beat Stampin’ Up! For perfectly matching and quality products!

I’m loving being back on my Stampin’ Up! journey and have found a lovely group of people to share it with and am honoured to be part of the design team this month.”

Suzy Elliot “Hi Everyone, I’m Suzy also under life’s little pleasures. Hmm don’t know where to start really I think I’m a little dull haha.  Ok basics I live in Gosport, Hampshire which is right here down the bottom and standing on our beach we are bang opposite the Isle of Wight.  Its a nice town and just lately we have had a movie being shot here (Dunkirk I think with Tom Hardy) at our little airfield so I can stand at my back door and watch the planes go over.

I am 35 im a mum of two, Holly 19, she has just gone back to University after three months off for summer. Holly is studying American Studies and will be off to America for a year next year!! I also have Leo he is 5 and about to start Year 1 at infant school.  I also have 3 cats and they all have “special” names, I have Harry Elefonte, Princess Tabitha (aka tabby tutu) and her daughter Suki de FuFu yes they are extravagant but they all have their diva- ish ways.  If that wasn’t enough I have a puppy called Buster he’s 9 months old and already at 5 1/2 Stone!! Buster is a cross between a French Bordeaux and a long legged staff and he’s a wonderful floppy mess. I am the third child of 4. Damon is 44 and lives in France with his wife 3 kids 1 grand child and a son in law, Anna 38, lives here in Gosport with her two sons then its me, then my younger brother Graeme 33, who lives in the next town with his wife.

I have been a Pootler for 3 years in November I love it.  Its not always been easy and at times I get crafters block but I get through and I will carry on with it to.  I have always loved crafting of one sort or another since a child, colouring, knitting, sewing, cross stitching, paper crafting, jewellery making anything and everything although the knitting never really took off.  Mum tried several times to teach me she is a wonderful knitter and very fast but my knitting was always to tight on the needles so I chalked that up to experience.

I think that’s me in a nutshell really (told you I was abit dull).

Im thrilled to be part of Septembers team and I hope my projects are up to scratch and you all enjoy them.
