Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Pootles - Totally Trees Thank You Cards

Oh I am in love with this stamp set! So much so, after I’d started prepping the September Thank You Cards that are all arriving with people now, I decided it was to be this month’s stamp set for the October Design Team. And they love it too!

I hadn’t planned to do an offset layered card at all, but there was a guillotine incident that resulted in half the stack of coloured card being 1cm wider than the other half. Yes, 100 cards were at 9cm and the other 100 were at 10cm. But all my white pieces were the correct size of 9cm

Basically, my card layers should have been 9.5cm wide with a white layer of 9cm…. But what do you do with 100 coloured pieces that are the same size as the white layer that’s meant to go over the top? Can’t bin them. Nope, you offset layer them instead!

Phew, what a save!

And it’s quite cute really!

So after I’d got the layers cut and realised I needed to do the offset bit, I went back to the catalogue, saw the offset one there and ran with their idea!

Why not?! The catalogue is full of ideas, use them I say!

I have 3 different card blanks – Chocolate Chip, Early Espresso and Soft Suede, then each has coloured cards in Garden Green, Delightful Dijon and Cajun Craze with the trees being stamped off and on in the same 3 colours.

I love how they have come out and I may well do offset layering again!

One question though, is the colored layer the exact same size as the white layer or is it just the same with?
