Pootles Advent Countdown 2016 Table Favours

OK, hands up who else has a Christmas Meal Table that’s positively groaning under the weight of plates of food, cutlery (silverware!!), crackers, glasses and more. Me! I’m that person who piles the plates as though it’s the last meal we are ever going to have….. But we all love it! Roast Lamb for our dinner on Christmas Eve and then a light meal on Christmas Day. The children love the meal, but we learned years ago that presenting them with a big meal on Christmas Day when they’ve possible overdosed on sweets and treats and really just want to go back to their new gifts was never going to be a good idea. So now we have it on Christmas Eve and we always give them a tiny little extra treat during that meal. And they love it! We all do!

So my bag today is just so pretty. You could mix it up to match your home decor easily I’m sure. Or to match your tableware.

It’s a super simple ‘2, 4, 6, 8’ bag (5, 10, 15, 20 for the metrics) and I love this type of bag. The more you fill it, the fatter it gets!

So what would you put in your bag? After dinner mints maybe? A lottery ticket? Maybe a mini pack of pencils and a tiny notepad if you have smallies at the table? All sorts could go in it!

Have a fantastic week everyone!

  1. Great idea for a treat! I will be making lots of these for Christmas this year. They are simple to make too. I don’t know if you have the bags of Lindt chocolate in the UK – but since the chocolate balls are individually wrapped, I make bags and put the wrapped chocolates in them and give as gifts.
