Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Colour Your World Blog Hop – Mixed Drinks

Colour Your World Blog Hop November Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Pootles - Colour Your World Blog Hop - Mixed Drinks

You know I swear, these colour palettes are trying to kill me off! Green? Green? With yellows and reds and oranges??? OK, so yes, it looks gorgeous on the photo, but blimey, I struggled!

But I did see that gorgeous flower (poppy?) and it sort of looked a bit like a glass of red wine, so that was it, out came the Mixed Drinks stamp set and away I went!

This is the first time I have inked it up and it was so easy to make that background. I went with the outlines of the glasses first, starting with the lager tankard, then the red wine and filled in the gaps with the champagne. A few scatterings of ice cubes and bubbles to fill all the little spaces and then I simply needed to come back in with the contents of each glass!

I chose the So Saffron for the champagne and Real Red for the red wine. I ended up going with the Delightful Dijon for the lager. It is stamped off on two of the tankards to get a more lagery colour, but I had a misshap on the bottom left one and needed to stamp it again. I think either would have worked to be honest!

So what do you think? A total fluke there thank goodness! But I really like it! And I shall definitely be pulling out this stamp set again!
