Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Pootles - Hello You Golden Perpetual Birthday

How rich and luxurious does this card look? Randomly I was rummaging through my lipstick cases and noticed that the more ‘pricey’ brands all seem to have gold on them somewhere. Whether it’s the name detailed on, or the whole case itself (Dior!) and there is definitely something luxurious about gold detailing on a card.

While I don’t wear pink lipsticks (I’m a red girl!), I still had luxury beauty in my head when I came to make this card, hence the inclusion of Rose Red and Sweet Sugarplum!

I love the look of it, with the simple Rose Red butterflies and the golden flowers dotted around. The Perpetual Birthday stamp set makes it easy to do this!

For a while though, I wasn’t sure about which thinlit set to use for the wording but I think the Hello You is just right with the curly lettering.

Have a great Sunday everyone, are you on the countdown to Christmas now? My boys are getting quite excited now that they’ve finished school for a couple of weeks.

S xx

  1. Oh love this card Sam. Yes, isn’t the Perpetual Birthday stamp set a must have, so easy and versatile, especially in your hands. I don’t get much time to catch up on your blog these days and when I do it is a flying visit with little or no time to comment. So today I thought I would just make the time and do a kinda cover all comment. Sam, you do some wonderful projects, you come up with fantastic bags, boxes, treat holders and you have come to my rescue so many times, bless you. So this comment is too say THANK YOU. Not only for today’s card but also for all the other days when I have thought wow, but been rushing out at the crack of dawn or just in and on my way to bed in the early hours. I do appreciate all you do, more than I can say. Have a lovely Christmas with your family Sam and my very best of wisher for the New Year. Take care.
