SpringWatch Giveaway for today – Succulent Garden DSP – details on how to enter at the bottom

So, you know how I say that I don’t do complicated projects? Today I have complicated. Well actually it’s not, its just a bit more time consuming than normal. And you need to have faith at the final stage. Trust me, that faith will serve you well.

But isn’t it worth it?

I was given some bathing treats for Christmas from Chris and one of them was this Champney’s lotion. As soon as I saw them, I fell on the box, pretty much disregarding the gift. Yes, I was that child who’s happier with the box than the present! That’s not totally true, because I do love champney’s lotion. But it was a double gift with the box too!

So I painstakingly pulled it apart, checked the measurements, then reset them (the original box had some funny 16th inch sizes!) and set about working out the best way to get that final close to go smoothly.

And it’s absolutely worth the extra time and effort. I am told there was a Candy Wrapper die by SU many years ago, before my time, and while it’s not one that I’ve hankered for, I did like the chance to make a version of it. This much you do know about me, if I can make it without a die, I’m happy!

Have a wonderful Sunday and I do so hope you’ve enjoyed my SpringWatch series this year. I have loved every minute of it!

Hi Sam, This is a lovely box, I know I’ll be back to case it. One question, the measurements for the long side scores don’t matche the video…I think you said 6 1/8″ not the 6 1/4″ listed above. The 6 1/8″ seems to match the other end better, but can you confirm?

    Thank you for clarifying!
