Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Colour Your World Blog Hop – Blossom Bunch at Night. Sort of…

I love and loathe colour challenges in equal measure… I love how they challenge me, but I hate it when I get a colour palette with one colour that I am not good with. That would be this month *purses lips and puts hands on hips*.

Pumpkin Pie and I are not friends. We really aren’t. Mostly because I don’t actually like pumpkins let alone pumpkin pie… But I went with it. In for a penny in for a pound….

However, when I was first designing the card, I’d planned to put the Dapper Denim as the backdrop colour, but I wanted a trio of blues on that dark background. I had in my head that they were flowers at twilight. But once I got them on there, I wanted a little bit of whimsy and popped on the butterflies.

Since taking the photos, I’ve pondered this card and that orange butterfly. I think if I was to make it again I would be without that one….

Over to you all with the colour challenge, and if you’ve not found us yet, we now have a Facebook Group for you to join, so that you can work to the same colour palette as us!
