Watercolour Sunshine Wishes

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Watercolour Sunshine Wishes

Well as I write this weeks in advance, for me it’s 9 days until Valentine’s Day and for me as a British girl, I only send a valentine to my husband. I love that it’s very much a send-to-everyone overseas, but I can’t get my British head into making for anyone but him!

So my card is definitely made with him in mind – plain, has a heart, not too much detail. He’s not a details kinda guy….

I went with the wash of watercolour using the Watercolour Pencils. You’ll see on the pumpkin pie one in the middle particularly, that I didn’t quite get my blending right. I maybe needed a slightly drier Aqua Painter to move the pencil mark a bit more. But it was quite simple. I scribbled on the Shimmery White cardstock using Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight then smooshed my Aqua Painter across them to move the colour about.

It’s a good effect that I plan to practice more!

And then I grabbed my Sunshine Wishes dies to get the Real Red heart and Basic Black ‘Love’ word.

Simple, easy, and just right for him! I reckon you could send a love card to a man anytime!

S xx

Hello Sam…love the colours you used, I’m still trying to get the hang of the blending part too!! Like you, I can only give a valentine card to my husband.(I live in Australia, so it must be the British influence) Thank you for always sharing, even though it may not turn out the way you wanted Fiona xo

I am with you in only sending to my husband on Valentines Day. It would feel – weird, not right to send to anyone else. I do like the card, simple but with feeling!
