Day at the Beach and Sunshine Wishes

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Day at the Beach and Sunshine Wishes

Oh this card is so much fun! It’s all the things I think of in the summer – an Orange Maid ice lolly (yes, I just aged myself to every Brit right there in one sentence) and flip flops, an umbrella to hide under when it gets too hot. Yes, summer is…. not near at all! Brrr its still so chilly and cold here!

But you know what, it’s ok, perhaps I can plan my summer holiday now??

I love these cards with the watercolour pencil detail. I love how you get the changes of depth of colour and really it’s not me, it’s all the pencils and blender pens doing the hard work.. I’m just choosing which colour!

I have to confess, I didn’t plan to put the sunshine on a slope…. I had a tiny black smudge under the ‘n’ and when I aligned the die cut carefully, put it in place, my hand wobbled slightly and I’d got glue in totally the wrong place and it dried so blooming fast, I couldn’t move and fix it….

Anyway, wobbly wording aside, I like the whimsy of this card!

Lovely card. Wish my holiday was a bit nearer. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Wobbly word gives the card charm and character.

  4. Spring time is here . . . but not hot enough to go to the beach, so in the meantime I will just look at your card.
