First Sight Hand Stamped Tea Boxes

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – First Sight Hand Stamped Tea Boxes

Spin it, then Pin it!

Ah, the pretty packaging of the English Tea Company tea bags. Aren’t they gorgeous? Right up there with Yankee Candles and their huge variety of colours, these individually wrapped tea bags are a charming gift.

Personally, I’m not a tea drinker – it’s weird warm water – but I do appreciate the prettiness of the packaging and totally get that other people like it. Possibly why I gift it quite a lot!

So each of my little boxes holds 2 tea bags, but you can definitely get 3 in there without problem. Imagine these in a guest bedroom? Or possibly, you could supply these to holiday cottages??

Anyway, they’re handstamped using First Sight in tone on tone colour and they’re just lovely like this!

The one I made in my sample follows the measurements below, but the one I made on camera starts with cardstock that’s 4 x 7.5″ (10 x 19cm) rather than 4.5″ (11.5cm). But you can see that it’s a good size either way!

Now, hands up, who else thinks tea is weird warm stuff? Please don’t let me think I’m alone!!!

Cardstock – 4.5 x 7.5″ (11.5 x 19cm)

Score on the SHORT side at 0.5″ (1.5cm)

Stamped Panel – 2 x 2.25″ (5 x 6cm)

  2. love tea! love boxes! together it’s even better!!! thanks for sharing!

  3. Cute little boxes for the tea bags. I’m a coffee drinker myself, but these are perfect little gifts.

  4. I like iced tea. Hot tea is nice sometimes. But, I drink coffee in the morning and sometimes in the early afternoon for a pick me up and on a chilly night, decaf! Your boxes are great!

  5. Nat Eastop says:

I’m going to make one as part of a birthday gift for my mate.
Love to see what ur going to make next.

  6. Oh my goodness you made me laugh. A girl from Wales who doesn’t like tea??? I’m in the US and have a friend who came here from Wales and everytime we get together it’s for Tea. We have visited the famous Drake Hotel here in Chicago for their High Tea and totally enjoy it. But of course to each their own. LOL Your boxes are awesome and I can’t wait to make some. Thanks for instructions.

  7. I don’t like tea or coffee, in fact I don’t drink any hot drink at all. I don’t like soup either. To me hot drinks are just weird full stop lol. Just warm liquid that taste horrible. Lovely packaging though 🙂

  8. Aquarius says:

Brilliant gift idea for those strange people who actually like tea. I’m with you on the weird water theory – hate the stuff, never drink it or even buy it. Now coffee – that’s a different story love it.

  9. Love the boxes, but hot coffee in the morning and cold water the rest of the day for me.

  10. Linda Snyder says:

Love this cute idea for tea bag gifts. Will be making some of these for take-home gifts for our Seniors gatherings at church!!

  11. Ellen Mogensen says:

I love Tea! Every morning. My friends love to receive gifts of tea. Thanks for the inspiration!

  12. Raelene Trewhella says:

Love your little tea boxes. And tea! Must be hot though, not warm. I rarely drink coffee as it leaves a taste in my mouth for ages.

  13. ANOTHER cute packaging idea, Sam; you had me laughing with the one shorter than the other! We have all done that, haven’t we? Thank you for all of your wonderful videos. Hope you are enjoying your new location, home and lovely new studio!

  14. No, don’t do tea. Coffee for me!

  15. Perhaps you just havent had decent tea! Forget PG tips, try some Earl grey, that always divides opinion – love the little boxes though, perfect for people at work with whom we usually just “do cards”. Thanks Sam.

  16. Sam, thank you for sharing your creative ideas and warm sense of humor. Watching your videos is like visiting with a friend over a cup of coffee.
    One of your fans,
    Joan from Colorado

  17. Very sweet little gift. I love the idea of putting them or something else on the pillow for guests. I’ll have to keep that in mind. Thanks for another great video and project.

  18. Ruth Van Mackelenberg says:

I’m with you Sam. I don’t know why anyone would drink that weird warm water, but they do. And they’re a bit weird about it too! Love the box though. I buy coffee bags and I think they’ll fit in the box. Always enjoy your videos and learn a lot, thanks.

  19. Dianne Griffiths says:

Can’t imagine that you would not like tea, but I hate coffee so that’s okay. Whatever you drink keep doing it as your site is amazing and I follow it avidly. I am a kiwi married to a welshman and I would have lost count of how many of your boxes I have made. (I love making boxes). Keep up the amazing work.
