Pootlers Design Team – Butterfly Basics Week 1

Pootlers Design Team – Butterfly Basics Week 1

Pootler's Design Team

Yay, it’s a brand new month and a brand new team of designers! As ever, I shall leave them to introduce themselves while I chat about the stunning Butterfly Basics stamp set. This is one that I’ve had a few years now and it’s a great staple for anyone’s crafting cupboard. I love how elegant it is, yet how rustic and whimsical it can be too. It’s also one of those rare stamps that Stampin’ Up! makes that’s available in all 3 of our options of Wood Mount Red Rubber, Clear Mount Red Rubber and Photopolymer

I hope you like the new team’s ideas!

Andrea Parr “I’m Andrea the owner of Crafty Little Things which is the umbrella under which all of my craft related efforts lie. I work with a variety of materials to make bespoke hand made gift and home decor items and I became a papercrafter when I decided it would be a nice touch to hand make gift boxes and bags for my products.

I found Stampin’ Up! products offer me endless, effortless coordination opportunities and excellent quality which I take pride in passing on to my customers. Now that I’m a demonstrator customers can buy fab Stampin’ Up! materials via me, follow my tutorials and get involved in some crafting too!

When I’m not crafting I’m mum to two almost grown up children and a little Shih Tzu called Vernon. I’m a post graduate business teacher and trainer with decades of hands on project management and strategic planning experience in public and private sectors. I also run a referral based business consultancy with my daughter and am taking final accountancy exams and writing my dissertation for an MA in Education at the moment.

I like to keep busy and crafting is my stress buster, it’s my ‘me’ time and we all need some of that. My goals for this year are to master video tutorials, improve my card making game (it’s distinctly amateurish) but most importantly to encourage more people to craft as a way of relieving the stresses of life, to express themselves creatively and to enjoy the fabulous Stampin’ Up! products and maybe even give being a demonstrator a go too.

I’m delighted to have been given the opportunity and challenge of being part of Pootles’ design team and to showcase some fab products and also some of my own creativity.”

Christine Bettany “Hello, I am Christine Bettany and a Stampin’ Up! Bronze Elite Demonstrator. I joined them in March 2015 so I have celebrated my 2nd Anniversary as a Demonstrator. I wish I had found them earlier in my crafting life as I love how everything matches from Card Stock, Inks and Designer Series Paper as well as lots of ribbons and embellishments.

When the option to be a Design Team Member came up, I said ‘Yes’ and luckily for me Sam selected me.

I have been a crafter for around 20years, first starting with Stamping. How things have changed since then, love that you can get Stamp Sets in Red Rubber and also Photo Polymer. When I started  wood stamps were the only way to go and I soon accumulated lots, some of which I use today.

I am a retired housewife with no family other than my Husband and he lets me craft whenever I want. I have been blogging for many years as I was a founder Design Team Member for a blog called CD Sunday. This is a thing of the past now although I still have loads of Craft CD’s.

You can’t beat paper and inks and getting messy.  Christine xx”

Jill Chapman “I’m Jill Chapman, I live in Chertsey, Surrey, am a fifty something mother of three and an ex-primary school special needs teacher. I’ve been a Stampin Up demo for nearly a year now and am so enjoying being part of this fabulous team.
I’ve always loved crafting and have dabbled in lots of different crafts but it was whilst I was on maternity leave, before the birth of my first child, Jess (who is now 23!), that I discovered paper crafting and more specifically card making. My crafting was put on a back burner whilst I focused on bringing up three children, but eventually, over the years, I found time to set up two successful online shops selling my handmade cards. I still run these today – you’ll find me if you search my name and my online identity – “Paper Daisy”.
About three years ago I stumbled upon Stampin Up, and the rest, as they say, is history. I love all the products, the quality, the co-ordination. Last year I took the plunge and became a demo and I love being able to get a discount on the products. But more than that I love the fun, friendship, support and encouragement I have found by being part of the Stampin Up family and particularly part of the Pootlers team.
My paper crafting style is very much clean and simple, as you’ll see from my designs for the Design Team. Nothing pleases me more than seeing lots of white space and clean lines on a card. I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I did creating them.
