Extra Large Lidded Box Tutorial

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Extra Large Lidded Box Tutorial

So last Friday I showed you a huge tall pinch topped box made with DSP and mentioned a cardstock version would need score lines to get the pinched closure. Well, I decided to take last week’s project, make it in cardstock to the same measurements, but then pop a paper lid on instead!

It looks so different!

Granted that’s partly down to the paper/cardstock, but just putting a lid on makes it so different!

I love it!

I do like the tone on tone stamping on this project, Love & Affection and the Affectionately Yours DSP has been a real hit with me so it made sense to pair them together with some lovely Tone on Tone stamping and a gorgeous ribbon.

Now, what would you put inside a huge box like this?

S x

Cardstock BASE – 12 x 12″ (30 x 30cm)

Score on the FIRST side at 2-7/8, 5-3/4, 8-5/8, 11-1/2″ (7, 14, 21, 28cm)

Score on the SECOND side at 2-7/8″ (7cm)

Paper LID – 6 x 6 (15 x 15cm)

Score on ALL 4 sides at 1-1/2″ (4cm)

  1. Such a useful box . . . I am applying your stamping technique on paper a lot . . . this size is very useful . . . I just made four boxes this size but with the milk carton pattern . . . they were used to place inside baked sweets. Thanks a lot and have a good day!!!

  6. Another great project. Thanks for showing us this.

  7. Uyvonne says:

Love this box which was easy to make. I did reinforce the lidded and the box bottom by adding a slightly smaller 3 by 3 piece of card stock (the card stock which was use for the lidded).

    Thank you for sharing.
