Watercoloured Rainbow of Lovely Words

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Watercoloured Rainbow of Lovely Words

Well I think you all know me well enough by now to know that I adore a rainbow. I have the crafting side of my office themed as a rainbow, sweeping from my paper racks past my ribbons and onto a shelving/storage area that has rainbow ornaments and fairy lights on it. I also have a growing collection of rainbow cards on there, a mix of some that I’ve made and some that people have sent me to add to my collection!

I did fancy making another myself though and felt that the Lovely Words die would be perfect for it.

I did the die cutting first on my piece of black cardstock and then used that as a template over my watercolour paper for where to watercolour. Rather than using pencil marks though, I put a 3 tiny dots with a paper piercing tool on the card, one each for the 3 primary colours. Then when I took the black card away I had a rough idea of where to splodge my 3 inks to then work them into the rainbow.

I love the effect, simple as it is, and it’s looking lovely on my shelf!
