Love Bomb Concertina Wallet using Painted Harvest & Wood Textures

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Love Bomb Concertina Wallet using Painted Harvest & Wood Textures

I am absolutely in love with this little wallet. It’s just too adorable and the perfect little Love Bomb to pop in the post to someone.

If you’re unsure of what a Love Bomb is, it’s when you unexpectedly send a note or a facebook message or something to let someone know they’re amazing/doing well/brilliant etc. Also really useful with those negative folk that sadly appear in our loves. You want to be showering them with Love Bombs….!

But as I was filming and making suggestions of how to use these, it came as a flash of inspiration that this would be something brilliant to send to a child off to university for the first time. A handful of messages inside to motivate your child or inspire them or even just let them know that you love them. Perfect!

Anyway, back to the project. I never tend to choose the Wood Textures as a paper of choice – it’s not my style, so I end up using it for practice work. And then I end up loving the project!!! Today was a case in point. It was a practice that came good!

And then when you bring in the lovely Painted Harvest bundle of stamp set and Leaf Punch and some rather forgiving Crochet Trim, suddenly it all seems to come together.

Have a fantastic week everyone, last day of the holidays for my 2 smallest smallies today, the older 2 don’t go back until Thursday much to the annoyance of the smallest boys….

  1. Brilliant project Sam! Hoping you’ll come back with this in a gift card size otherwise I’m going to have to do (gasp!)…MATH! Thank you!!

  2. Robbye Hamilton says:

Oh Sam how I love you! This is the perfect thing to send to my daughter who lives in Melbourne. I’ll make several and send them to her. Thanks so much you crafting wizard you.

  3. I absolutely love this project! And I laughed out loud over your aversion to the sponge daubers. I have never tried them because I don’t really care for sewing thimbles for the same reason! Thanks for always being so informative AND entertaining!

  4. I agree with L.N. Gift card size please. I’m thinking “date night” gift…. dinner and a movie gift pack.

  5. Love this project! I was thinking gift cards too! Perfect to give an assortment of gift cards for Halloween treats, birthdays and the holidays.
Hope you will help us with the gift card version. 🙂

  6. What a lovely little project! These would be great in a kids lunch box or a surprise in their back pack to find at school. Or maybe in my hubby’s suitcase when he has to go out of town. Tons of ideas for this project, I love it. Thanks for sharing it with us.
