Pootles’ Tips – Stampin’ Up! Adhesives

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator – Pootles’ Tips – Stampin’ Up! Adhesives

Glue, glue, which glue where?

I love our adhesives. I haven’t used another brand in the 4 years I’ve been a demo and I don’t need to. Hot Glue and I aren’t friends anyway, too stringy/messy/painful and other than using some super glue to repair a broken Virtual Reality headset the other week (don’t ask!), I don’t need to use other glues!

In fact, when we had an emergency hem issue back in July, I did actually use our Tear and Tape to fix said hem for 14 year old son who showed me the dropped hem about 5 minutes before he left for school….

But today’s video talks about them all, and goes into a bit more detail about Fast Fuse and Mini Glue Dots as well as the rest that we have.

So I do hope it’s useful and I have to say, it’s lovely to see such interaction with the Tip Videos and how great it is that you’re all adding further comments and suggestions too. I don’t profess to know everything, so having the bonus comments from you guys is a win win for all of us!

Hi Sam, I so enjoy these tip videos that you are making. I always learn something new. I especially appreciate the Tombo segment; I was unaware of the possible warping and the visibility when used with Whisper White cs. Thank so much for sharing.

  3. i have found that snail tape tends to dry out on a card after a while. even if it is paper to paper.
so if someone wants to save their card, they will find, eventually it will come apart if you use snail tape. i was not aware of that till a friend told me after i had given her a birthday card. she loved the card so much she kept it out for about a month. she said after that time, the pieces tended to come apart. she went in her box of cards i had sent her and found that the snail tape on them had become brittle and those cards would fall apart if bent a tad bit.
so, if you are looking for a card that lasts, snail isn’t the best. i like the tombo blue. have not found that it buckles the paper permanently. it will flatten out eventually. at least it as for me.

I now live in the bone dry desert of the state of Arizona in America… fast fuse is my adhesive of choice as I’ve found SNAIL dries out very quickly and holds nothing together for very long! Before I lived here, I lived in the high humidity of Oldsmar in the state of Florida. SNAIL would have been sufficiently sticky enough to hold anything together! Also, I found that in the high humidity of Florida, I detested Tombow glue… Took ages to dry so I rarely used it while out here in near zero humidity it seems to dry in under a minute. So, to anyone having trouble with their adhesives, it’s might not be you but your climate that’s the culprit!;)

    Love the tips videos Sam
Use the inserts from toilet paper rolls in your glue box to keep the tombo glue standing upright and ready to use. You can cover them with DSP , stick them together or use them singularly. It works great stops wasting glue because it all drains to the tip you use most

  9. Marthea from Western Australia says:

Oh and also keeps the fine tip glue up right which helps somewhat
