Pootles Advent Countdown 2017 #8 Quick Tags and White Ink Tips

Pootles Advent Countdown 2017 #8 Quick Tags and White Ink Tips

Hands up who forgets to remember to make tags for Christmas…. Please tell me I’m not the only one. If I am, I may have to hang my head in shame.

I tend to spend time making cards and packaging and decoration and forget about tags until the last minute, usually either too late to make them, or after I’ve gifted left over DSP and trim to my children’s schools for their festive crafting.

Seriously, ever bloomin’ year I forget! Then I end up with those cheap ones from the ££ shop which have rubbish adhesive on the back, they then fall off in transit and before you know it, you’ve got a 6 year old opening chocolate liquers and a grandparent staring at lego batman…

So this year, do not be like Sam. Be ready with your tags waaaaaaay before you need them…

Mine today are super quick and I think, really rather stylish!

Black and white is always elegant, but pop in the shock of Old Olive and hello super stylish!

I used both 12×12 black cardstock and 12×12 Merry Little Christmas for the main part of my tags, and I can get 18 from a sheet of card and DSP which means you can get 216 from a pack of each…. roughly 7p a go!

I would suggest pulling out your A4 cardstock (or 8.5 x 11!) for your labels on the front, but it’s a scrap wonder to use up those little bits of black left over from a prior project.

Chalk Markers and White Ink aren’t something I’ve particularly shared on here before, so I grabbed the opportunity to have a little chat about them, and how best to use them. I do hope you find that useful too!

So have a super day, I’ve got all my 4 boys off school today. Apparently it’s a Professional Day at both their schools. To me, it’s an extra day right in front of week’s holiday….

I love making tags, but I tend to get over-creative with them. Thank you for sharing quickly made tags that “pack a punch.” Great tips for using the white ink pad and the chalk marker.

  2. lovely tags. love the black and white combo

Sam, you are not the only one! I’m usually up all night Christmas Eve trying to make tags. Well, not this year!

  4. Adorable tags, I need to get some done early this year, so much the same as you in this respect. Always forget the tags. Thanks!
