Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Make a Wish with a whimsical flower and a little Wink of Stella
I love flying flowers and leaves. Where I now live in Cambridgeshire, it’s a very flat area with only trees to stop the wind. And frankly, they’re not doing a great job when I consider the enormous pile of leaves in my garden, but that’s ok. There’s something wonderful about flying blossoms and leaves and they’re guaranteed to make you smile. Well possibly not if it’s chucking it down with rain, but as I look out of my window right now, the sun is shining but the trees are at a really dodgy angle and there are leaves flying everywhere!
So this recent weather change is what inspired today’s card. I could have gone autumnal with the colours, but the confused weather of sun plus wind lead me to keep with a pretty and brighter colour. And hey, Flirty Flamingo is just lovely and who needs and excuse.
I’ve pulled the flowers and sentiment from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set, and decided to carry on the whimsical path with the ‘make a wish’ sentiment. Does anyone else still grab a dandelion clock and blow it and make wishes? My younger boys are still of an age where it’s ‘ok’ to do that. The older 2 question my sanity when I do this, but well, Mum isn’t meant to be cool anyway!
And finally, a touch of Wink of Stella on a couple of the blossoms and leaves, and my light and whimsy card is done!
So I hope you have a whimsical day today, making wishes and watching the leaves fly.
