Pootles Advent Countdown 2017 #9 Adorable Treat Tubes

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator – Pootles Advent Countdown 2017 #9 Adorable Treat Tubes

Before I get into today’s post, I couldn’t contain myself any longer. If you haven’t read my exciting news about being nominated for Papercraft Blog of the Year in the British Craft Awards, I’ve got a blog post HERE that you can read. I’m like a fizzy and excitable puppy right now!!!!

Oooooo these are just too cute! They are now empty in real life, having been shared amongst 4 small boys, but they were cute when I made them!

I love our treat tubes and although they’re in the halloween ‘section’ of the catalogue, I pulled them out and put them into Christmas instead!

A nice little treat for smallies perhaps? If you’re planning to do something like this for a craft fayre, do make sure you have wrapped foods inside unless you have a food hygiene certificate.

But they’re adorable aren’t they?

Our 5cm (2″) wide cello bags hold 2 of them perfectly and with some Strawberries and Cream Pips inside, we’re onto the festive front. After that, it’s simply a case of adding some DSP and a little bow and we’re away!

You’ll have to laugh along with me on the video, I wanted to show the total measure+cut process when I’m working and somehow, I managed to totally fluke the perfect length of DSP for this project… What were the chances??

Have a super week everyone, I’m on the half-term holidays with the boys this week. Cue skateparks, cycle rides and trampoline parks… Probably the cinema too!

  1. Sam to the rescue again. Been trying to think of what might fit in these tubes and now I have some ideas, thanks Sam. My grandchildren will love them for Halloween and Christmas. I don’t do much for Halloween though but Christmas, well. I did my voting early this morning , so fantastic but no surprise you were nominated again. So, so many people follow you and you’re mentioned in so many other demos blogs and videos and with just cause. Sure you’ll walk away with the award but fingers crossed for you. Thank you so much for all you do Sam. Hope this reads ok with no typo’s as with hubby driving north up the M6 so phone jumping and no glasses on! Take care Sam.

I voted for you and Stampin’ Up yesterday. I love your project, it’s so cute. Thanks for the tip on the cello bags. I’m making treats for adults for Christmas. I never get trick or treaters.
