Pootles Advent Countdown 2017 #24 Jack’s Folded Hanging Treat Bag

Pootles Advent Countdown 2017 #24 Jack’s Folded Hanging Treat Bag

Oh no! It’s the last of this year’s Pootles Advent Countdown projects. I’ve had so much fun though, so it’s not all sad, and of course, I’m starting work on the new Spring Summer projects… But this is a project that Jack and I came up with together. He does enjoy wandering into my office to see what I’m up to. He negates the stereotype of a 14 year old male of the species. He is more than happy to hang out with Mum and get creative….!

We’d been talking about treats for the Christmas tree in the playroom and I happened to be bending paper at the time, and this came about!

I’m using 6×6″ (15.25 x 15.25cm) paper for my treat bags, but you could use any size, as long as it’s a square. And as I show, there are a couple of variations you can make, with pointed fronts, smooth fronts or even double holders!

Aren’t they cute though?  I didn’t have enough hands on hand (!?!) to help me when I took the photos, but I think you get the idea with 4 of them here!

Have a super weekend everyone!

  5. I just LOVE the imagination both you and your children have in making items to share with all of us! I love this idea and it’s so simple. Love the idea of getting the children involved in making them, too. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful talents with all of us.

Hi Sam, this message is actually for your son Jack….
What a brilliant young man you are. I was desperate for a table favor that could later be hung on the tree but didn’t want an ornament. Your folded paper treat holder is just the thing. Flat on one side to set on the table, curved on the other so it has a great 3D look to it. Thank you.

  8. Can’t believe that the holiday series is over with, doesn’t seem possible. Christmas has all of a sudden popped up on me. Thought I was doing fine and suddenly it’s almost here. Thanks to you and Jack for a great little treat holder project.
