Pootles the Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, a Look Back

Pootles the Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, a Look Back

I love Christmas Eve. We make it as fun and festive as Christmas Day, and for probably around 10 years, we’ve eaten our main roast dinner on Christmas Eve. I find it so much calmer with the children and not trying to be Cook/Enthusiastic Mummy/Present Opener and all things in between, all at the same time.

It means that the children sit and enjoy an entire meal without clamouring to leave the table to return to new gifts. It means that I get to enjoy cooking and don’t begrudge ‘clearing up’ on Christmas Day.

But it’s also a nice quiet day where we just chat and hang out with one another, talking of the things that we’ve done and things we want to do.

So as I write this post, just a few days before Christmas, and my last ‘official’ day in the office, I decided to take a look back over the past year.

It’s been full of so many wonderful memories – earning the Papercraft Blog of the Year award back in February, jetting off to Thailand for the incentive trip, hanging out with my team at 2 onstage events and 2 team events aswell. It was a year that finished off with finding out I’d been shortlisted to earn the Blog of the Year award again, then discovering I was #1 in the UK in 4 out of 4 categories, followed up by the huge shock to see I was #4 globally! Then earning the incentive trip to Greece the following day!

So it’s been quite the whirlwind and it seems like there’s no let up!

But these are some of my crafting highlights of the past year. You can click on each photo to be taken to that blog post if it’s one you’ve forgotten or haven’t seen before!

Have a wonderful Christmas, with much love to you all.

  11. Merry Christmas Sam and family from Western Australia. Christmas day at our house was a very hot 38degrees Celsius, so a cold Christmas lunch for us. Thankyou so much for sharing your creations over the year and I look forward to what’s in store for 2018.

Merry Christmas Sam. Your site is the first one I go to every morning and enjoy your simple, but sometimes complicated, projects. I have made cards for 8 years, but this year I want to start making a supply of boxes and will probably have a closet full by end of year. Will start looking for next Christmases gifts to fit boxes this month also. By the way, I am 80 so want to say this is a wonderful craft for ‘older’ as well as the young. Have a blessed year. You certainly deserve all the rewards you receive and more.

  13. Jesus bless you and your family always.
Merry Christmas and a Happy new year .We love you .
