Stampin’ Up! #1 Demonstrator Pootles – Happy Birthday Gorgeous in Greens and Greys!
So today I’m wishing my husband Chris a very happy birthday.
One could even ponder if I said “Happy Birthday Gorgeous” to him…. (I did!) and while this isn’t the card I’ve given to him, it did seem fitting to have it on my blog today!
I wanted to make a birthday card with my oh-so-beloved set in the title, and throwing in some grungy manly colours made sense. He’s not a floral chap, so that’s why I haven’t given this one to him, but then we don’t need to have stereotypes either.
Why should floral cards always be ‘pretty’ colours? What’s wrong with a bit of grey and green in there?
I think the addition of Wisteria Wonder in there has lifted this a little, but I do rather like the greys with the pop of green with the leaves.
Anyone else with me on making floral cards in non-floral colours?
