My 3 older children are all stationery fans. They have more pencils and notepads than the average stationery store, and I’m convinced that it was a gene handed down from me.
They’re also post it note junkies. What child isn’t actually? It’s a product of endless possibilities. Cheeky notes to each other, requests to Mum, reminders to themselves. Or in the youngest’s case (at 2, he’s only just learning the whole stationery/pencil/not-on-my-table-please thing) it’s a scribble sticker!
I love creating things for my children, their delight is transparent across their faces, so while experimenting with Bigz dies a couple of days ago, I wanted to see what I could do with my two favourites from Stampin’ Up! the Top Note and the Two Tags.
What I came up with was a prototype involving chipboard and cardstock, and didn’t quite work exactly as I wanted, so I won’t be adding pictures of that here, but with a little ‘L’ monogram on the front, Luke was delighted.
So, finding it really easy to make, less than 5 minutes from Big Shot to completion, I decided to pull a short video together.
This time, I had already made one with ‘S’ for myself, so decided to make this one with a ‘J’ for Jack.
Just need to make them for Jacob and Oliver now…!
Before you have a look at that though, here’s some shots and close ups of the finished project.
