When I first started Pootles and opened up my dotcom shop, it was on the first of that particular month. A great friend of mine, Lynnette (who is the owner of an online Vintage Emporium), suggested that I use that as a nice way to start each month. And I agree! I haven’t thus far, done any Pootling updates, but you know what? Now’s as good a time as any to start!
So, with that in mind, a quick rundown on May.
I’ve welcomed 5 lovely ladies to my team of Pootlers this month, their details are all there on the left, so go and check out their websites and blogs. There are candle makers, soap makers, an interior designer and an artisan card maker in there; a wonderful mix of talents and skills!
I also started a facebook group for papercrafters and stampers in Wales. That’s both North and South! And anyone is welcome, and definitely spread the word, it’s nice to have a group to hang out and natter crafty stuff in!
Pootles on YouTube seems to be well received, it’s been fabulous to read comments and interact with viewers all over the world (waves to the lovely Linda in Australia!). One thing I never expected from YouTube, having only ever been a viewer, was just how quick it is to start mixing with other crafters, and to find new friends and liked minded people. I think sometimes, when you’re sitting at your craft table, it’s easy to slip into a quiet world where it’s just you and your piece of cardstock and scissors. It’s nice to venture out sometimes…!
And onto June and what to expect.
Well, I have projects lined up for YouTube – some more bespoke boxes, a great quick and easy make for a child’s miniature colouring book. Some wedding favours (it’s that time of the year after all!), as well as a brand new Stamp Kit of the Month.
I am also planning a blog that tells you why I personally decided to take the leap into the world of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, and what I really love about being a demo. It’s a question I’ve been asked quite a lot recently, so I decided that it was a good time to share!
The new retiring lists for products are now out, the details are on yesterday’s blog post, if something catches your eye, try and get it when you can!
I will also be setting a date for the New Catalogue (woo hoo!) online party. It will be the VERY DAY that the catalogue goes live, so be ready to download copies of the catalogue on July 2nd because there is going to be a fabulous Buy one get one FREE offer that I will be doing.
Fingers crossed the online shop and the new shopping experience will be back up and running, because if it is, you know that means… HOSTESS CODES!!
It’s a very exciting time ahead, I can’t wait to get right into June.
Oh and today, is also my eldest brother’s eldest son’s 21st birthday, that makes me feel quite old, although I have a 2 year old, so he neutralizes my feelings of ageing!
Would love to hear what you have planned for June. Anything exciting???
