As I’ve said many times before, I adore designing bespoke boxes for friends, and this particular box for Anjie from Evanscent was a real challenge. Her tea lights measure 2.5 cm tall by 4cm diameter, and we were aiming for 2 layers of 6 candles because her sets are sold in boxes of 12. With that in mind, the box needed to measure 12 x 8 x 5 cm and that was where the challenge began. Working with a piece of cardstock that is 21cm wide and just under 30cm long, it was a task of fairly epic proportions that resulted in a lot of trashed prototypes before I got to a box I was happy with

But, we are both happy with the results, as seen in the video, but here are the measurements, in both metric and imperial.
METRIC
Cardstock – 21 x 29.5cm
Score along long side at 3.5, 11.5, 16.5, 24.5
Score along short side at 4.5 cm and turn 180 degrees and score again at 4.5cm
taking the short side to the top, where the 3.5cm gap is closest to the top, score/cut at 1cm down to the 2nd score line ONLY, turn 180 degrees and repeat
DSP/topper card measures 11.5 x 7.5 and 11 x 7
IMPERIAL
Cardstock – 11 5/8 x 8 2/8
Score along long side at 1 3/8, 4.5, 6.5 and 9 5/8
Score along short side at 1 6/8 and 6.5
taking the short side to the top, where the smallest gap is, score at 3/8 and 7 7/8 only down to the 2nd score line.
