I do love a challenge, and I do love boxes.
Combining the two makes me very happy!
So when I was initially asked to design a box to house a round soap, while it did cross my mind to make a cylindrical box, I decided that it wouldn’t be time saving, or space saving. Yes it is possible to make them, but not en masse, and for those who want to make large quantities, they wouldn’t store very well.
But there was another requirement for this box, that it had air holes.
Natural handmade soaps need to breath. Because of all the natural ingredients, if there wasn’t a breathing hole, they would sweat and just not be nice.
so this box, it needed to hold a round soap, and have aesthetically pleasing air holes. A few prototypes later, this was the one I came up with. Suzanne, from Scent Trail who requested it, has said they look a little like gothic windows! I quite like that!
So without further ado, here is the video tutorial of the box and design.

I bought Sizzix when I was helpnig at the stamp convention in Milwaukee. Do you have samples you could publish and hints on what to do with it? I have made a couple of cards and would like to do more than just put strips of left over paper on the Sizzix. Something a little more elaborate if that is possible. Anything! Thank you. ( I live in Tucson, AZ and help Barbara at the Mesa Convention since Nancy Whitworth is my daughter and Brian is my son-in-law).
