When we demonstrators got a look at the new annual catalogue back in June, I think every one of us fell immediately for the Chalk Talk stamp set. Not least because it comes with the most fabulous set of framelits to match (that include the fabulous ‘shop tag’ style framelit!)!
I loved it, and it was the very first thing on my pre order shopping list (although stupidly I forgot to buy it as a bundle with the framelits – 15% off – and had to order them separately), but until now, I haven’t actually used it. I think my fickle eye was falling rapidly for Gingham Garden and I was swayed into summery colours, and away from the sketchy look that’s quite prevalent right now.
However, I sat down in my office the other day, and played. I just played. I wanted to use the Regals collection, I love the deep richness of their colour palette, and the deep evocative results you can get with them. I also wanted to bring in some embellishments and ribbon, and this was the result!
And I loved my first so much, that I made 5 more in other Regals colours!
I think the beauty of these is their simplicity.
So, I hope you like these, and can take inspiration. I certainly took inspiration from these, there is another blog post to follow later today that is along the same lines….
