It is an often asked question on various forums and chatrooms; “What is your favourite colour/stamp/DSP…?” I do struggle to choose one stand out favourite from any of the questions, I love the statement that Melon Mambo makes in it’s vibrancy, but I love the subtlety of Pool Party. However I’ll err towards Cherry Cobbler as my favourite. I tend to liken it to my ‘signature’ colour for myself. Red has always been my favourite colour, although I like a deeper red than a crayon box bright shade. My lipstick is this kind of colour, my bridesmaids wore this shade for our wedding, and if we’re on a night out, I’ll pull something from my wardrobe in this colour too.
But for today, I wanted to show off Cherry Cobbler, just on it’s own for this card. I actually made 8 of them, all identical (they were that quick, I’d made them all in less than 10 minutes!). And yes, it’s a pretty ‘basic’ card, but to me, it’s all about colour. So I’ve just used some Cherry Cobbler paper from the Designer Series Paper Stack (Regal!) and layered it onto a mat of Naturals White Cardstock, added a band of Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon, then layered up the 3 flowers from the Floral Fusions Sizzlit that were finished with a Candy Dot in the same colour.
This is one of those cards that is an any-occasion-have-it-to-hand-for-emergency-purposes-card. Always have a few stashed around, you never know when you might need it!
