It’s the last family birthday in our household today. Jacob, our 3rd son, is 5!
He was our preemie baby. He wasn’t due until October, and had been giving me problems throughout my pregnancy from about week 7. Clearly he was contrary from day 1! Because he decided he wanted out in August, although with the wonders of modern medical intervention, I was able to keep him safe inside me until all the steroids and lung enhancing drugs had worked their miracles.
So, he was born on September the 1st. Is that a good thing or a bad thing in terms of schooling? So far, I’m unsure. He starts full time school in a couple of days, and while he will have already turned 5, he will be potentially a lot older than many of his peers. He’s certainly a lot taller than them, despite putting in his appearance at only 7 and a half months!
But, back to the card at hand. This one, like Luke’s birthday card, features the Cycle Celebration stamp set, but I’ve set this one in a totally different way, but adding the bright Daffodil Delight designer series paper and the Whisper White buttons and twine, and setting it all on a Basic Black card.
One stamp can look so different can’t it?
Well, I shall bid you goodbye for today, because it will be a round of grandparents visiting throughout the day, finishing with a tea party of jam sandwiches, party ring biscuits, rainbow drops and iced gems!
It takes me back to my childhood of tea parties!
So, my question for you today is…. Do you like where in the year your birthday falls? Mine is March, a bit of a funny month, with Easter on the way, but frost in the air!
